We set sail from Toronto at sun down.
On the second day, we made our way to Prince Edward County, which is known for its exquisite wine and silky smooth sandy beaches.
The calm waters of Lake Ontario and the Saint Lawrence are treating us well. Paddle to the Sea is loving this new adventure!
Our youth ambassadors engaged in a panel discussion with Environment Minister, Catherine McKenna on World Environment Day.
On Day 6, Canada C3 participants planted trees, oaks, on Gordon Island, in the Thousand Islands National Park, along with Indigenous partners, community members, and park staff.
The following day, Canada C3 staff members do a dive at the Brockville, ON underwater park.
What a thrill it was for our team to be greeted with such hospitality in Cornwall, ON on June 8!
On the second last day of leg 1, the Canada C3 team stopped in Akwesasne, where we participated in a roundtable discussion about reconciliation.
On June 10, we said goodbye to our Leg 1 participants and welcomed a whole new group on board. Leg 1 was incredible and we can’t wait to see what Leg 2 has in store for us.
