Ed Hendrycks

Ed Hendrycks is a senior research assistant at the Canadian Museum of Nature (Ottawa). His expertise is in the taxonomy (describing) of marine amphipods, especially deep-sea species. Amphipods are small crustaceans which are found in all habitats, but most are marine. There are about 10,000 species described so far. He considers himself a natural history enthusiast and loves sports and outdoor activities, such as cross country skiing, hiking and cycling and is looking forward to meeting the participants on his leg of the expedition.
