Emmalee Agnew was born and raised in Ontario on a family-run dairy farm in the Ottawa Valley. From an early age, she learned respect for the land, hard work and resiliency. She graduated from Lakehead University with a triple degree in biology, outdoor recreation and education. In 2014, she moved to Whitehorse, Yukon and she says she is proud to call this beautiful part of Canada her home. She is a passionate educator, teaching physical and health education and hula hoop dancing to adults. She loves to mountain bike, ice climb, skijor, paddle, read books and play music with the Mary Lake Band.
