Inspired by the opportunity to combine program and organizational development, youth education and polar expeditions, Henk van der Molen joined Students on Ice in 2014.
Prior to joining Students on Ice, Henk worked as Chief Operating Officer of Camino, Canada’s leading fair trade and organic chocolate brand. Henk brings a strong background in business and organizational development to the team and focuses on expanding Students on Ice programs, developing additional funding streams and strengthening SOI’s support systems.
Henk spends his time outside of the office with his wife and three young children. After everyone has gone to sleep, he enjoys a good mountain bike ride, hike or cross country ski. His love for the outdoors has taken him in the past to many beautiful places in North America, Europe and Asia. Favourite thing to do while in the outdoors? Listening to the sounds of silence.
