Jennifer Doubt is Botany Curator at the Canadian Museum of Nature. As such, she leads the development, preservation and sharing of the National Herbarium: a public archive of over 1 million specimens of wild plants, lichens and algae, collected since 1766. Jennifer is also crazy about mosses, conducting research in bryophyte biodiversity and conservation. She serves on the Committee on the Status of Endangered Wildlife in Canada (COSEWIC). Jennifer has been on a ship-based expedition before (Students on Ice 2012) but Newfoundland is new territory for her! In her free time, she plays ice hockey (defence) or goes outside.
