Kristina Brown

Kristina Brown is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of British Columbia. As an observational oceanographer, her research is focused on understanding the role of the polar oceans in the global climate system, in particular their importance to the regulation of atmospheric carbon dioxide. Kristina is an enthusiastic and experienced field researcher and has participated in over 20 scientific expeditions within the north Pacific and Arctic Oceans. Samples collected as part of the Canada C3 expedition will help her determine the geochemical ‘fingerprints’ of rivers along the cruise track and aid in tracing the freshwater they bring to the ocean.
