Leona Humchitt is of the Heiltsuk First Nation of Bella Bella, B.C. She and her husband Tom have five children and two grandchildren. As of May 30, 2017, she is retiring after 23 years service with the local RCMP as Office Manager. In 2014, she had the expressed confidence of her nation by being elected to the Heiltsuk Tribal Council for a four-year term. She deems the Canada C3 expedition a wonderful opportunity for Canada to further reconciliation work by bringing to light our truth, fostering healing and to that end building a stronger, more vibrant nation.
