Phoenix Smith is originally from the prairies, went to school on the West Coast and now resides in Yellowknife, N.W.T. As an advocate for the integration of arts in education, she works to instill a love and understanding of art in youth, giving them the tools they need to be an active voice in their community. She is thrilled to be a part of this expedition and is looking forward to sharing her experiences with her students and community through dance – her art form of choice!
