As a former high school science teacher, Roslyn Bern started a foundation promoting educational opportunities for women in disciplines that are underrepresented by women. Under her guidance, the Leacross Foundation now focuses on all aspects of women and childrens’ education. Roslyn has worked tirelessly to provide bursaries, funding and scholarships for women pursuing STEM careers. She has directed women and girls towards internships in biomedical engineering as well as setting up programs for electrical engineers. When not working on the foundation, she relaxes with friends and family hiking and canoeing in the Gatineau region of Quebec, and painting with watercolour and pastel.
