Stefan Mueller was born in Goddelau, Germany into a third generation family of butchers and sausage-makers. He followed in their footsteps by studying to become a bhef. In 1990, he traveled to Canada planning to spend a year in the Rocky Mountains, seeing a bit of the country and continuing to hone his culinary skills; 27 years later, he is proud to say that Canada has become home. Stefan is still exploring Canada, with a family of his own. He holds the position of Executive Chef at the Delta Hotels by Marriott Beauséjour in Moncton, NB, where the focus is on locally-sourced products.
