On July 18, we had a beautiful morning sailing up the coast of Labrador. In the afternoon, we made it to the Wonderstrands, part of the Mealy Mountains National Park Reserve. It is hard to believe that a pristine sandy beach like that could be found so far north. It was also an excellent opportunity for our science team to collect samples for our research projects. We were grateful to have a sunny day in such an awe-inspiring place. We finished it off with a group dinner on the back deck, watching the sun set with whales jumping across the horizon.
