Cape Jourimain

The Cape Jourimain National Wildlife Area borders the Northumberland Strait at the southeastern extremity of New Brunswick, two kilometres northwest of the village of Cape Tormentine. Established in 1980, this NWA encompasses an extraordinary variety of ecosystems that include salt marshes, brackish marshes, freshwater wetlands, barrier beach, sand dunes and upland. The area functions as a refuge for about 170 species of native and migratory birds.
