Milne Inlet

Located in Nunavut’s Qikiqtaaluk Region, Milne Inlet is a body of water that flows from the Navy Board Inlet at the junction of Eclipse Sound. It is surrounded by several islands. Baffinland Iron Mines Corporation proposed to build a harbour at Milne Inlet in 2008. Since the area averages very cold temperatures in the year-round, especially during the 24-hour darkness from November to January, most projects require significant planning and logistics.
