Kayaking with Adam van Koeverden

As we travelled along the Labrador coast on Leg 5, Canada C3 participant Adam van Koeverden had the opportunity to connect with the history of the boat that won him the gold medal - the kayak. Humans have used kayaks for at least 4,000 years. They were first invented by the Inuit, Yup'ik and Aleut peoples. In Hopedale, Adam got to experience an authentic seal-skin kayak made by hand by Ross Flowers, like his ancestors before him.
