Our visit to Kugluktuk, Nunavut allowed us to witness a shining example of what can happen when a community comes together and stands up to make a change. Haunted by a rising number of suicides related to alcohol, community members such as Millie Kuliktana decided enough was enough. Creating a safe space to encourage youth to express themselves and take an active role in shaping their community is one of the solutions that could lead to a better future.
