Ian Brown
Journalist

Ian Brown is a roving staff writer for the Globe and Mail, Canada’s oldest newspaper, a former CBC host, an author (my most recent books are The Boy in the Moon and Sixty), a father (two children), a husband (Johanna Schneller, also a writer), a keen backcountry skier, an avid but untalented painter, and a committed reader.  Ian has run the Banff Centre’s longform journalism program every July for the past seven years, and he travelled across the Arctic with the photographer Peter Power for the Globe and Mail’s series on the Arctic in November of 2014.
