James Infante is a student at the University of British Columbia. As a first-generation Canadian, he wants to build a more inclusive Canada, where diversity is its strength. In his role as a UBC Student Ambassador, James brings his passion for intergenerational and intercultural learning forward. Volunteering his time, James has led Community Service Learning Projects in Vancouver, partnering with neighbourhood houses and non-profits to help them find ways to better engage with community members. When he is not studying or volunteering his time, James can usually be found cooking for his family.
