Happy National Aboriginal Day, Canada! We are excited to be in Baie-Comeau today where we will be celebrating at the Pessamit Innu community. Baie-Comeau is a town located on the north shore of the St. Lawrence River, near the mouth of the Manicouagan River, with a population of over 20,000 people. The town is named after Québécois naturalist Napoléon-Alexandre Comeau. Baie-Comeau was founded in 1937, when a paper mill was built in the area.
