Bathurst Inlet (Qingaut)

We spent the day in gorgeous Bathurst Inlet (Qingaut), Nunavut. We went out in our zodiacs, aiming for a waterfall. We couldn’t quite reach the falls due to the shallowness of the water, but we enjoyed seeing the area all the same. On our way up the river, we were thrilled to spot the first Arctic wolf of the expedition. Later in the afternoon, we landed ashore in Bathurst Inlet to visit the community. Bathurst Inlet is primarily inhabited in the spring and summer and there were no residents there when we visited. We hiked through the area, enjoying the beautiful day. Finally, in the evening, we returned to the ship for an incredible Facebook live performance with Leg 10 participants Jill Barber, Sarain Fox and Angela Nuliayok Rudolph!
