We were thrilled to spend the International Day of the World’s Indigenous Peoples in Clyde River, Nunavut! In the morning, we visited the Wellness Centre, where we were grateful to local Inuit Elders for teaching us about their community. We also got to learn about the incredibly fun Inuit games! In the afternoon, we visited a workshop where they make kamiks – traditional Inuit boots. We then held one of Canada C3’s famous Ship t’ Shore shows with performances by our participants. We finished the day with a delivery of hockey sticks, thanks to our partnership with Project North. We had a lot of fun playing a game with the local community. Thanks for an unforgettable day, Clyde River!
