Title of project: Patterns of genetic diversity of Gammarus oceanicus
Biography: Nathalie R. Le François (Ph.D. Oceanography 1998) is a researcher at the live collections and research division of the Biodôme de Montréal/Espace pour la vie since 2009 and associate professor at Université du Québec à Rimouski and Université Laval. Her research focuses on cold-water fish conservation physiology and aquaculture (wolffishes and salmonids), aquatic bioremediation processes, zootechnics and aquatic life support systems. She is also a scientific collaborator in a United States Antarctic Program project studying the effect of climate change on the embryonic stages of Antarctic fish species such as the blackfin icefish and the bullhead notothen.
